Using smbclient & tarfiles

Hi,

I'm having problems using the 'tar' command in smbclient (samba
1.9.16pll)

I have a tar file created externally from smbclient that I'd like to
restore onto an NT Server. Unfortunately I keep on getting the error
'this tar file appears to contain some kind of link - ignoring'
'skipping \oottmp\local\...'
for every directory listed in the tar file, and ignores all the
files in it.

Has anyone got any suggestions?
