Yes, this needs to be done without Win95 running (DOS window won't work)

I don't have the info on me right now, but I think it was simply something
like:

regedit /r keyname

or 

regedit /d keyname

Mail me if this doesn't work - I'll see if I can find the web site I saw
it on.  (It could well be Bob Cirelli's Win95 FAQ page)

You mentioned something hinting in the direction of using .INF files
before - but are you saying regedit.exe itself will import in .INF file?

Still, 'regedit.exe /s regfile' will run in silent mode.  ;-)
