Installation problem(s)

I'm a newbie, so please be gentle.

I'm trying to install 1.9.17p2 on Solaris V2.5.1

As best as I can tell my smb.conf is OK.

When I do -

# /export/home/samba/bin/smbclient -L hoover
Added interface ip=207.110.54.88 bcast=207.110.54.95
nmask=255.255.255.224
Session request failed (0,0) with myname=HOOVER destname=HOOVER
Unspecified error 0x0
Your server software is being unfriendly

Also I have discoverd the follow error message in log.smb -

Added interface ip=207.110.54.88 bcast=207.110.54.95
nmask=255.255.255.224
ERROR smb_shm_open : mmap failed with code 11
ERROR smb_shm_open : mmap failed with code 11
ERROR smb_shm_open : mmap failed with code 11
ERROR smb_shm_open : mmap failed with code 11

# ps -ef | grep D

The DIAGNOSE.txt file says that I have a problem with the command line
options on smbd; but the INSTALL.txt file indicates I'm doing it OK.

I'm sure that this is a typical PEBKAC; but I'm stuck
(Problem Exists Between Keyboard And Chair!)

Suggestions are requested & a solution is desired.
