I am currently running Samba 1.9.17p2 on AIX 4.2. There was very little I
had to do to the base source to make this work for me. I am running AIX 4.2
on an IBM RISC/6000 with a small number of Win95 boxes using shares from
the workstation.

You should have no trouble getting samba to work on the AIX platform
(Thanks to a great group of coders in OZ!!!).
