We just upgraded from 1.9.15p6 to 1.9.17p4 on Linux 1.2.13. We kept the
smb.conf file as is, but smbd seems broken.

Are there some subtle differences in smb.conf between the versions?
Running smbd.old -D and nmbd.old -D works fine, as before.
Any suggestions are appreciated...
