Howdy,
        I'm running Slackware 3, with kernel 2.0.30, I've downloaded the source
for Samba 1.9.17p2, I'm using shadow passwords, when I try to compile samba I ge
t this:

chaos:~/samba-1.9.17p2/source# make
Using CFLAGS = -O -DSMBLOGFILE="/usr/local/samba/var/log.smb" -DNMBLOGFILE="/usr
/local/samba/var/log.nmb" -DCONFIGFILE="/usr/local/samba/lib/smb.conf" -DLMHOSTS
FILE="/usr/local/samba/lib/lmhosts"  -DLOCKDIR="/usr/local/samba/var/locks" -DSM
BRUN="/usr/local/samba/bin/smbrun" -DWORKGROUP="WORKGROUP " -DGUEST_ACCOUNT="nob
ody"  -DLINUX -DSHADOW_PWD -DFAST_SHARE_MODES
Using LIBS =  -lshadow
Compiling server.c
cc: ": No such file or directory
server.c:0: unterminated string or character constant
server.c:0: possible real start of unterminated constant
make: *** [server.o] Error 1
chaos:~/samba-1.9.17p2/source#

Anyone have any ideas? this is driving me insane.

Cheers

Brent
