NIS on NT?

IMHO, If we have NIS servers on Unix then WinNT only needs the client. I
don't know of a single large net that does not have a Unix box hiding
somewhere. I've looked at the ypserv from NL (I'm running it) but I have
trouble finding Unix+shadowpasswd NIS clients, even under Unix. 

BTW, I wouldn't mind smbpasswd sharing, under NIS, with SSH.

I've been looking too. AFAIK, the last thing MS wants is NIS clients oin
Win*. They've purposely built a different network management architectiure
in order to lock-in market share. NIS compatibility will blow this strategy
right out of the water. Remember, the Gator wants to chew and swallow the
Unix server market now that he owns the desk-top. Proprietary PDC
functionality is critical to this.

I may be wrong, but I only see this happening under extreme duress.
