Samba+Access?

Hi everybody!

   We have a project at the University of Costa Rica, which consist in a Web Server Application (developed with Delphi) that make some queries to a database (made in Microsoft Access 97) and give back the response to the client.  We have a Unix server and it has Samba, too.
  I would like to ask you if Samba could support that kind of application related to Microsoft Access databases.
