it's on its way.  I quote (page 38):

      Samba V3.x Evaluation Release for
      Integrity Feb 2006 & Alpha March 2006

      Samba Production Release Alpha &
      Integrity H2 2006

   Knowing this might tend to discourage independent work.

   I know nothing about the features to be supported.
