This would indicate that something in SWAT is doing a translation.

Mozilla is definitely broken in this regard.  I have not tried
Netscape or Mosaic.  (Yes, a current port of Mosaic seems to be in progress
by some group)

Still a solution that allows reading on standard browsers would be
desirable, so that a local copy can be referenced.

I just noticed that some of SWAT documentation in SAMBA_ROOT: installed
on one of my systems is set to world no access.
