The error only happens after copying 2 gigs of the file, not immediatly.
The file can be copied fine to another windows or linux box.

Subject: RE : 2 GB limit?

The disk on my PC has not the capacity of creating a file bigger than 2Gb,
so I can't easily try that and eventually fix it.

I can try to find another PC with more disk space, but before that I would
like to have more details about it :

- You have probably already tested that, but is this 2Gb limit specific to
the VMS Samba server ? I mean : the huge file you can't copy to VMS, can you
copy it to another Windows box ?

- When trying to copy to VMS, does the error appear immediately (or within a
couple of seconds), or does it come after copying 2 Gbytes ?

Thanks.
