Dear John Malmberg,

I posted my question on Multinet/Samba 2.0.3 in the
newsgroups: vmsnet.networks.tcp-ip.multinet
as advised a while ago but could not get any feedback
from there.

But, fortunately, finally, I found the answer to my
problem with SAMBA 2.0.3 and Multinet 3.3A on VAX OpenVMS 6.2.
There is a nice document from PROCESS Inc. showing a compatibility
chart amongst many Multinet and OpenVMS versions, located at:

http://www.process.com/techsupport/multinet_vms_compat.html

We can see that Multinet V3.3A is not compatible with OpenVMS 6.2 VAX.
Thus, I upgraded it to version V3.3C, using ECO-AC033.A and, voila',
SAMBA 2.0.3 for OpenVMS is working just fine now.

I am posting the solution here as requested by you in your last
reply to me.

Thanks so much for all your comments.

Many cheers,
 Luiz Regis Emediato

I do not know abut Multinet, but maybe if you post your question in the
newsgroup:

vmsnet.networks.tcp-ip.multinet

Someone there may now the answer. Be sure to indicate what version of
Multinet you are running.

Also check to see if you are up to date with the DEC C RTL patches for
OpenVMS 6.2.

And if you do get a useful answer, please post it to this list so that
others who may encounter the same problem could be helped.
