Hello,
I just discover a problem while attempting to read files if my account stands
in the "write list" of a share. Following is an example as view from a PC
(NT or W2K) :

C:\>debug s:\arrivee\base.rrd
-d
0C2E:0100 C8 00 47 51 24 31 33 32-32 34 2E 72 72 64 40 31 ..GQ$13224.rrd at 1

The first two bytes corresponds to the VMS record size. They should not be seen
from the PC. To the opposite, when I suppress my account from the "write list"
(in the smb.conf file), I get the correct result which is :

C:\>debug s:\arrivee\base.rrd
-d

Other information:
- This problem did not occurred with SAMBA-2.0.3.
- The VMS file is "sequential, variable length, carriage return carriage control".

Is there a workaround ?

Thanks, Georges
