This message was generated by your mail client because it knows that it
was sending in HTML/MIME which is not universally readable.

HTML gives the digest mode of this list indigestion and it needlessly
clogs up mail servers.

Please set your mailer to plain text unless you specifically know that
the recipiant wants to receive HTML.

Mailing lists and newsgroups default to plain text only, unless
specified otherwise in their charter.

Please search http://www.google.com for the SAMBA for OpenVMS FAQ and
comp.os.vms. It is more up to date than the FAQ that is included with
SAMBA 2.0.6 for OpenVMS.

It contains a section on system tuning for SAMBA that is applicable to
all versions of SAMBA on OpenVMS.

Also there is a known incompatability with W2K and SAMBA versions less
than 2.0.7.

Unfortunately the latest binaries of SAMBA for OpenVMS are for 2.0.6. on
the OpenVMS Freeware 5.0 CDROM. See the link at
http://www.openvms.compaq.com.
