No, you are wrong, the Windows 'Guest' user has nothing to do with the
Unix guest user.

To gain guest access to a share, you typically need 'map to guest = Bad
User' set in [global] and 'guest ok = yes' set in the share. If an
unknown user then connects to the share, they will be allowed access as
the guest user, usually 'nobody'.
