Now for the question - what does "gcc 8.2.1" mean? AFAICT
(https://gcc.gnu.org/develop.html#num_scheme), the latest release is
8.2, and 8.2.1 is a number used to signify "somewhere between the 8.2
release and the 8.3 release".
