Witness protocol status?

Hi,

I am interested in helping to implement the service witness protocol 
and according to the wiki (https://wiki.samba.org/index.php/Samba3/SMB2
#Witness_Notification_Protocol) the current WIP branch is

It would be helpful if someone could summarize the current status if
further progress have been made, as it looks like the wiki has not
changed for some time.
