Hi,

Samba 4.8.0 is out now! :-) That means, 4.8 is the current stable
release series now. Samba 4.7 has been turned in the maintenance mode
and 4.6 will receive security fixes only after the release of Samba
4.6.15 which is scheduled for April 11 2018. Last, but not least, Samba
4.5 has reached end of life.

Samba 4.6.15 is scheduled for Wednesday, April 11 2018.
Samba 4.7.7 is scheduled for Thursday, April 12 2018.
Samba 4.8.1 is scheduled for Thursday, April 26 2018.
