Is that cifsfs mounting from a NetApp? Like 10 years ago I found a bug
in NetApp server replying to listxattr with 39 bytes of complete
garbage. NetApp did not accept this as a defect because cifsfs is not
on their list of supported clients. I ended up with a customer
specific patch disabling listxattr completely. So if it's a NetApp,
don't mount with cifsfs, go directly to NetApp with your supported
clients.
