G'Day Aaron,

Can you make a gitlab merge request for these?  I would like to see the
CI before I dig into them further.

Also, you are missing the BUG: reference on the final patch (the test).
 If possible, it should also be before the fix and a knownfail added
and removed, to show it demonstrates the bug.
