First I wanted to cheer to all the Samba team for all the great work.
Keep on the good job!
Looking at the changelog, I was wondering if bugfix for #13335 [1]
("after update to 4.8.0 DC failed with "Failed to find our own NTDS
Settings objects") had made it into this release. I didn't saw anything
about it in the changelog, and looking at the backport patch from master
in the bug report, I am not sure to see the corresponding code in 4.8.1.
