Samba and statx ...

Hi folks,

I have recently been doing some work with statx and David Howells' statx patch.

Because our file system stores Create Time, Backup Time and the Hidden
and System bits (and we can synthesize Archive from Backup Time and
mtime and ctime) I added the ability to retrieve those additional
attributes, but have to rework the changes a bit to make them suitable
for upstream.

However, this raises the issue of support in Samba for the day when
statx is a regular feature of Linux. (We will simply bury the support
in a VFS module for the moment.)

Apart from a test for the presence of statx, what other issues are there?

Should Samba be able to retrieve all these attributes in one go rather
than use separate system calls to get attributes? Would it be useful
to retrieve an ACL at the same time if one is present?
