If you put in a note that its obsolete or outdated, people might not
read it.

+1 for removing. It's better if people use the documentation provided in
the Wiki. I'm working a lot on updating and enhancing existing content,
adding new content, revalidating the docs for new versions, etc.

We should not only remove the outdated docs from the homepage. It is
also part of the source code package in docs-xml/Samba3-HOWTO/
Additionally, we have docs-xml/Samba3-ByExample/ in the sources. I guess
it's outdated, too.
