Hi Jeremy, I get the point, the problem is identifying just what
exception to use. I also didn't like the idea of creating an exception
class that did virtually nothing, I just didn't see the point and this
clouded the issue for me.

Can we now accept that my patch will be pushed and if so, I will
prepare a similar one for deleting a group (bug 12293)
