So sorry this has been unresponded since so long.
But I kind of wonder why no-one of the more AD-biased
folks has looked at this and commented. People do
seem to want and need this functionality!

Since I don't have the resources to work on test cases
myself, I'd be willing to push these to master as they are.

Any other voices?
