Hi Roger,

This does not appear to be a problem with Samba, rather it looks like a configuration issue.

The DNS entry 3d91bdae-c1cd-4988-9249-216245697335._msdcs.uo.edu.cu has an IPv6 address (2000:0:0:1::2). Your samba host has a IPv6 address on one of its interfaces that it believes it can use to connect to this. If your nodes believe they are configured with IPv6, they will use generally use IPv6 in preference to IPv4 (read RFC 6724). However, for some reason your IPv6 connectivity is not working.

In order to determine what is happening you will need to supply more information. Specifically, what hosts are involved and what is their network configuration.

In the first instance you need check the network interfaces on the hosts involved to see what IPv6 addresses are configured.

As an aside, this is more likely a question for the samba users list rather than the Samba technical list.
