Weird. I think I need to dig up my "Deep C Secrets" by Peter Van Der
Linden to really get what's going on here. 20 years of C, and you know
not enough....

P.S: The mentioned book is a bit outdated, but REALLY good. Still. Took
me a while until I got the point why it has a fish on the title... Like
"Thinking Forth" by Leo Brodie. Read that, and all the fancy "Better
Coding" books just fade.
