[PATCH] Cleanups and other changes on the way to samba_kcc support

We (Catalyst, Garming in particular) have been working on fixing up
samba_kcc so that large Samba installations have better than a full mesh
replication topology.

These patches need more work before we want to show them here, but along
the way, and for other clients, there have been a number of clean-ups in
the broader Samba code, which I've finally collected into the attached
patch series, and in my git repo:

https://git.samba.org/?p=abartlet/samba.git/.git;a=shortlog;h=refs/heads/for-master

I've called out some of these patches in more specific mails recently.

In other news, anyone know what to do with all this Yak hair? ;-)
