vfs_scannedonly has largely been superseded in recent releases by
samba-virusfilter[1]. The developer, SATOH Fumiyasu (cc'ed), has
expressed an intention of getting samba-virusfilter into upstream Samba.

I'm in favour of removing scannedonly from the master branch, unless
someone steps up to maintain it.

Cheers, David
