Allegedly, yes.  One thing that makes this all more difficult is that I
was never able to reproduce these issues outside sn-devel (eg on the
Catalyst Cloud), and so far have been avoiding overloading sn-devel to
prove this one way or the other.  It looks like we may have no choice,
sadly.
