Need help on "net ads join" fails when we have "%" in the username - 2nd Try........

Oh yes you can, but you have to do it in a very diplomatic way. :-)

If you change 'net' just for this corner case, you will have change 
anything for any corner case and the samba binaries will just get bigger 
and bigger , the way to fix the problem is to remove the '%' from the 
username.
