Samba4 in NT4-style PDC setup does support MIT kerberos (for more than decade).

If your packaging recipe on Gentoo is unable to differentiate between
Samba AD and NT4-style PDC builds, I'd suggest working with Gentoo
developers on improving the recipes.

Porting Samba AD DC server side to use MIT Kerberos requires quite an
effort (current development tree includes hunders of patches) and sees
little help from those who complain.
