How to gently disable a CTDB node?

Hi,

Some maintenance has to be made on one of our CTDB nodes.
Users are using.
Sessions are running.

Is there a gentle way to let them finish their sessions, but to refuse 
every next session opening attempt on a specific node. Waiting for the 
last session closing, so as to be able to completly disable it and put 
it in maintenance mode.
I fear that the "ctdb stop" command will *kill* the user's sessions and 
I'd prefer avoid that.
