What do you exactly mean by file destruction? We have just fixed a bug
related to share modes:

Regarding TCP timeout values I bet Microsoft plays with
defaults from OS to OS as well. Regarding reset on zero vc:
We did not know this behaviour when we first implemented
share modes, so it's a bit historic behaviour that we did
*not* kill all other clients coming from the same IP. And
because there's pros and cons for both approaches, we did
not change the default yet.
