Backup whole Active Directory?

Hello.

I'm trying to install Exchange 2013 onto a network with only a Samba
4.1.9 ADC. I've successfully hacked the version number in the directory
entry for the DC so that Exchange is happy ("5.3 (3790) Service Pack 2")
and I'm now at the point where Exchange wants to make schema changes,
but the Samba DC is currently set to prevent them.

What is the best way to back up the entire Active Directory incase I
need to roll it back? (A step-by-step document for both backup and
restore would be ideal.) And would I be able to do this with minimal
down time, on the order of a couple of minutes?

Thank you very much for your time and any information you can provide!

Sincerely,
