I have setup a folder in samba where a certain user can only open a file
but not able to copy them from linux to windows via the samba share. I have
set the group owner to be 'students' and a certain user 'sec1' is a member
of that group. Then I 'chmod' the file directory to '550' permission. This
way students ONLY able to view the file and are NOT able to delete and also
cannot create new files inside the folder. But to my surprise they can copy
the files to their computer / personal drive. My question is how do I
prevent them from doing so?
Please advise on this.
