[PATCH] First chunk of parameter internal variable renames

Nadya,

I wondered if you could help me get started on the parameter internal
variable rename patches?  With Garming's posting of the code generator a
week ago, I'm confident I've addressed all the meta-level concerns
raised about doing the renames.  I've carved off the first 60, all of
which are trivial renames, and which both myself and Garming have
already signed off.  Can you review them please?
