Hi Andrew.
Buildroot isn't hard to use, for automated tests you could use external
toolchains since that's outside the scope and just say "hey build me
samba4" - it uses Kconfig so a simple enough defconfig is enough for that.
It will automatically download anything that's required.
You'd just need to switch to samba git master instead of a tarball to
test the latest, but that's just a simple patch/override away once the
samba4 package is up in buildroot git/release.
