I've "back-ported" the patch to v4-0-test and verified that it's working:

Without the patch I receive NT_STATUS_UNSUCCESSFUL with a non-super
user. The super user is working fine.

With the attached patch also the non-superuser can follow the dfs link.

I'll add the patch to our 4.0 and 4.1 EnterpriseSamba.com packages, today.
