NOT using 'wins support = true' and 'wins server = ...' at the same time

Hi all,

at a (new) customers site i yesterday got the following when running "testparm":
  - must have been a somewhat recent samba-3.6.x release (opensuse 12.3) - sorry, i'm at home now
  - server role was STAND_ALONE

"ERROR: both 'wins support = true' and 'wins server = ETH0: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx' cannot be set in the smb.conf file. nmbd will abort with this setting."

Btw - nmbd has not aborted ... :-(

In /etc/samba/smb.conf (no includes used at all):
wins support = true _was_ set

but _no_ 'wins server = ....' entry at all.

To also list the samba internal defaults, i used:
testparm -vs 2>&1 | grep "wins server"

and a MAGIC wins server was listed now:
   wins server = ETH0: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

where interestingly enough the
   xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx
was the ip of that server itself!

Adding "wins server =" to smb.conf at least removed the testparm message.

Hmm - how was that _default_ entry added?
I'm a bit tired - so could be a known glitch ...

Cheers, Günter
