Well you live and learn, I have been on this planet nearly 59 years and 
have never heard of an 'Oxford comma' before ;-)

Having said that, I still wouldn't use a comma before 'and' in any 
circumstance, I would use an ampersand (& for the uneducated) instead of 
all the extra 'and' i.e. 'black & white' instead of 'black and white'
