The last big hurdle was the DCE/RPC generated dissector files. I've had a difficult time trying to regenerate the dissectors with the necessary modified source, so I just manually updated dissectors to mimic what the source should generate.

Really ?
What about this phrase: "Patches to pidl and the IDL files should be
sent to samba-technical at samba.org <mailto:samba-technical at samba.org>"
Sounds to me (but english is not my mothertongue) that something related
to the Samba project is maintaining pidl and the idl files used for the
generation.
