Doing that right now.. Is it possible to get a backport of 7e80793
(check_parent_exists() can change errno. Ensure we preserve it across
calls.) into the release branches as well? Should I open a new bugzilla
for that, or is it trivial enough to be done without a bug?

Is there any other comment on the v9 patch against master?

Thanks!
