It drove me nuts to.  the wbinfo --change-secret --domain=$DOMAIN test
is almost certainly what kills it. 

If you are OK, then this is a set of patches that passes autobuild, but
does not include the test.  I'll add that back after Christof's patches
land (I promise! :-)
