If you are building an AD DC, then the process in the HOWTO includes
running provision, which generates the template.

Otherwise, we have an example in examples/smb.conf.default but sadly it
has too much in it, and so isn't a very good example, but at least it
should get you started.

In general with smb.conf, if you don't think you need it, or don't
understand it, remove it and let it run with the defaults.
