How to backup samba4

I played around with this script today and want to make a small, but I think 
important, suggestion on it:

Adding '--xattrs' to the two 'tar' commands in the script would include the 
extended attributes in the archive. Otherwise they get lost, what could be 
problematic when restoring.

I'm not sure, when --xattrs was added to tar, but I checked it's manpages on 
RHEL6.2 (supported), RHEL5.4 (supported) and RHEL4.9 (not supported).
