libsmbclient is not thread safe

We would like to do that, but as none of our base
infrastructure is designed with thread safety in mind, this
will be a major challenge. With latest master, there is some
work done to make smb calls from multi-threaded python into
a single smb client connection. Maybe we can build upon that
to so something in that direction.
