Pretty much, yes. I've had Ricky Nace working with me to reproduce
https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=8938 and I would appreciate a
comment from the ACL maintainers to confirm what is going wrong here.
I would also like to make the change to the acl_xattr storage format I
discussed on the list (move to a hash of the raw posix ACL, not the
mapped NT ACL), but I will not let this put off the beta.

Yes. I'll make the release, and I want to do it before the end of the
month.

Aside from the above, that is essentially my next Samba4 task. (My next
other task is bug #8943)

I've seen no change on DNS since we last discussed it (on the team
list), and I'm not sure that continuing to talk about a possible change
here on the basis of the hope of future development is useful.
