error when connecting Outlook 2003 to OpenChange/Samba 4 authenticated against Windows Server 2003

Apparently, it's useful to reset one's Samba private directory when 
switching configuration. I presumed it was not necessary and I was 
wrong, which explains why I got this issue. Now I am stumbling on a 
winbind-related issue but I am going to search on my own first...
