This is the one error that stops the entire make test on freebsd 9.0 amd64. Mine hung for nearly half an hour before I ^C it. 

It presents a challenge because:

A) Its an error
B) IT hangs and causes the rest of the tests to not complete
C) No st/summary is written, so the previous 47 errors are now "lost" and unable to be submitted. 

Perhaps make test should write st/summary-inprogress or similar so that in the case the make test fails to complete such as this, details can still be recovered?
